Most People Are Afraid Of Spiders, But They Should Worry About Centipedes

ن
Snakes and spiders are humanity's most feared creepy-crawly animals, and for good reason. Some species of these horrifying creatures are among the world's deadliest predators.

Still, there are a ton of other terrible creatures on our planet that should be feared even more than black widows or black mambas. Take the giant centipede, for example. These things are deadly and vicious in pursuit of their prey. Don't believe me? Just take a look at these videos of other animals fighting giant centipedes...and losing pretty badly.
WARNING. Some of these videos are pretty graphic. If you're eating lunch right now, I'd recommend putting down your fork.

1. Giant Centipede vs. Stag Beetle.

2. Giant Centipede vs. Hairy Scorpion.

3. Giant Centipede vs. Bird-Eating Tarantula.

4. Giant Centipede vs. Frog.

5. Giant Centipede vs. Ants.

6. Giant Centipede vs. Japanese Hornet.

7. Giant Centipede vs. Snake.

8. Giant Centipede vs. A Cat.

9. Giant Centipede vs. Vinegaroon (Bonus points for being such a one-sided match).

10. Giant Centipede vs. Chicken.

While they are poisonous, these giant centipedes don't make a habit of attacking humans. Also, they're mostly located in South America — though there is a giant centipede species known as the Texas redheaded centipede that calls the Lone Star state home. Still, I think it's about time I sealed off all of my windows and doors forever and protected myself from the giant centipede invasion!
